At the zoo
One morning, I woke up and pulled up the window shade and looked outside to find everything wet and either in puddles or dripping from trees. In the distance, I could see a rainbow with bright and glossy colors. They’re purple, yellow, red, green, and dark blue.I looked around to the door just in time to see my Mom walk in with my sister, two of my nephews, and my niece. I laid back down to cover up.
My niece ran over to me and said “Grandma said you would take us to the zoo”.
After hearing this, I said, “Mom, I’m going out with my girlfriend today. We’re going to go shopping for an engagement ring”.
She responded, “Oh, can’t you do that tomorrow, besides you can take her with you and the kids”.
“No,” I said.
“Well, I guess I could,” I said, changing my answer. My sister started laughing and said, “I can just see it: three kids, Scott, and ...what’s the name of your girlfriend anyway?”
“Suzanne”, I answered. “Would you leave so I can get dressed?”
“Alright, but breakfast is ready,” my Mom replied.
After I got dressed, I went out into the living room to see dinner set out. A big pot of potatoes and roast beef. “Mom, why is dinner on the table?” I asked. “Roxanne is coming over”, she answered. “Roxanne. I forgot about her”.
Just then, the door opened and Suzanne walked through the door and said “Scott my dearest, how is Pudgy?”
I answered, “OK, Twinkie”
“How is Twinkie?”
“Fine,” she answered as she walked over and kissed me.
“Wow”, I said. After kissing me, she walked over to the table and said, “Who’s eating roast beef and potatoes for breakfast?”
“Well, I am,” I answered as I sat down. My mom brought me some bacon and eggs, and I ate them. As soon as I finished, I walked up to Suzanne and said, “Suzanne, you know we could go shopping tomorrow. Let’s take my sister’s kids to the zoo.”
“Sounds like a wonderful thing to do”, she answered.I went outside and Suzanne followed me.
“Get in the car, kids”, I said. They got in the car and shouted “Whoopee!”
We drove to the zoo, got out, and went in. “What should we do now?” I asked.
All of the kids jumped in with their own ideas. “Let’s go see the monkeys.”
“No, let’s go see the tigers.”
“No, ugh-ugh, let’s go see the ducks.
“Wait a minute. What is that? I asked. Everyone looked up to see a group of ex-cons opening every cage.
“Oh no!”, I shrieked.
“Don’t worry”, my nephew said. “I have a can of spinach. Just eat it, and you will get strong, like Popeye”.
With that, he ate some, walked over to the people, and said, “Step aside, please.”
They opened up a lane, and he walked down it and over to the ex-cons. He punched them, and they went soaring into the city jailhouse.
“as for the animals,” he said as he grabbed every animal and put them into their own cages. But one problem came up when he picked up the monkeys. He picked me up and put me in the snake cage. I screamed, “Jaimy, save me!”. My youngest nephew, Jaimy, walked over the snakes, made a lasso out of them, and rescued me. Everyone started cheering and yelling. Jaimy saw this and said, “No applause, please, just throw money.” At that instant, everyone started throwing one hundred dollar bills at us. Jaimy gathered the money and said, “I’m strong to the finich, cuz I eats my spinach. I’m Jaimy the sailor man..”
